Wendy Betts

Share the Music
began as the means for experienced students in the Wendy Betts Voice Studio to perform outside their regular recital venues, "sharing their musical gifts through costumed, staged, community projects and concerts (most often as fund-raisers for needy organizations).

Wendy has been teaching vocal students since she was in high school, through private lessons, church choirs, Montessori  pre-school, elementary and middle schools throughout West Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware, North Carolina and Massachusetts.

Her former high school voice students have won scholarships to Philadelphia School of Performing Arts, Oberlin, and Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. One student was a Metropolitan Opera finalist in 2000 and went on to study at Curtis Institute in Philadelphia;  another won a  Fulbright Scholarship to Germany upon graduation; another went on to graduate from the Juilliard School in NYC and is now engaged in a full career singing opera and art song all over the world. A young soprano earned first place finish in the high school division of the annual NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competition.

Wendy enjoys teaching all ages and believes that music is a beautiful gift from God that deserves nurturing, developing
to its fullest possible potential...then sharing!
